Lord Anjaneya came in his dream and told him the whereabouts of his buffalo. As he woke up and looking around the hillock, he found an illuminating idol of Anjaneya. He then built a small temple for the lord at the current location. The present structure was built by Krishna Rao Deshmukh in the middle of 20th century.
