There are two idols in the Mahakali Mandir. One standing murthy is the main idol decorated with red, yellow and orange colour clothes. The main idol also associated with Shiv Linga. The second murthy is reclining position. The second idol is actually below the ground level and to reach there, devotes need to walk in kind of a tunnel.

The nearest bus stop is Chandrapur.

Chandrapur has its own Railway Station named as Chandrapur Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Maharashtra. It is situated on the major New Delhi-Chennai line and is linked with the cities like New Delhi, Bangalore, Mysore, Lucknow, Chennai, Kanyakumari, Allahabad, Indore, Puri, and Ahmedabad via Lokmanya Tilak Express, Navjeevan Express and Karnataka Express.

There are a small Ganesha temple and Hanuman temple inside the Mahakali Mandir premises. There are two entrances for the temple. The rear entrance has Ganesha and Hanuman temple. Both the entrances have small shops for pooja supplies like coconut, flowers and cloth. There is also Shan temple, next to the rear entrance.

Tuesdays are special days to visit Mahakali Mandi.An annual fair is held every year in the month of April.Inside the temple, the priest will be always there to assist us with pooja and offerings. Every year, there is a fair during the month of April, when all the devotees from different parts of a state visit the Mahakali Mandir.
