Sri Golingeswara Swamy Vari Devasthanam is located at Nidadavole in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Lord Shiva is presiding here in the form of Sri Golingeswara Swamy.
This Temple was built by Vikramaditya’s father King Vijayaditya of Chalukya dynasty in the 7th century, to be precise during 696–733 AD. This place is also known as Niravadyapuram. Lord Shiva is manifested here as Swayambhu Maha Linga. It is believed that a cowherd found Shiva Linga and a later temple was built by King Vikramaditya. One can see Gomaata on the top of the maha mandap of the temple. Dhwajasthamb is installed in front of the Garbhalaya.
